Regional Early Childhood Development Research
Quantedge Advancement Initiative has joined several other Asian philanthropists and organisations to support a regional landscape analysis on early childhood development. Coordinated by the Asia Philanthropy Circle, the research is being conducted by the Centre for Evidence and Implementation (CEI).
The landscape analysis will review parenting and early childhood programmes and policies for children aged 0 to 6 years in China, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Singapore. Nutrition, health, early learning, caregiving, and safety and security are domains critical to early childhood development, setting the foundation for a child’s lifetime success. By focusing on these domains, the research seeks to provide insights on the effectiveness of existing early childhood interventions, and identify gaps and opportunities in the sector.
Findings from the research will guide funders in making crucial sector investments and support policymakers in implementing effective policy and programme development. Through supporting such research, we hope to advance the understanding of the early childhood development landscape in the region and improve early childhood development outcomes in the long run.
