Quantedge - Cambridge Masters Scholarships
Quantedge Foundation partners with the University of Cambridge to expand equal access to world-class postgraduate education. Our scholarships support Singaporean students from less privileged backgrounds and students with refugee status in the United Kingdom, enabling them to pursue an MPhil at Cambridge and to contribute meaningfully to their communities and society.
As part of our continuing efforts to expand equalised access to quality education at all levels - from early childhood through to tertiary education, the Quantedge - Cambridge Masters Scholarship (Singapore) was established to fund academically deserving Singaporean students from less privileged backgrounds for an MPhil at the University of Cambridge.
Through meaningful overseas exposure, the Scholarship hopes to nurture globally-minded, cross-culturally competent leaders who can navigate and shape an increasingly inter-connected and complex world. It supports a full-time, one-year Masters course across a broad range of disciplines, spanning the Arts and Humanities, and the Sciences and Engineering.
The Scholarship is administered by King's College, a constituent college of the University of Cambridge.
Note: This was previously known as the Quantedge – Lee Kuan Yew Masters Scholarship, administered by Fitzwilliam College in honour of Singapore’s founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew, who was himself a former student at Fitzwilliam College.

We are committed to contributing to a more sustainable world, in line with the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals on Quality Education and Reduced Inequalities. In particular, we support initiatives that help ensure access to quality education for all vulnerable, disadvantaged or marginalised groups.
The Quantedge – Cambridge Masters Scholarship (International) offers students who have been granted refugee status in the United Kingdom the opportunity to pursue an MPhil at the University of Cambridge. The Scholarship will equip scholars with new perspectives, skills and networks to contribute positively to their communities and society at large.
Offered annually, the Scholarship covers full University course fees for a one-year MPhil programme and living costs for the duration of study.

AY2020/21 MPhil (Economics, Finance) “In 10 years, I definitely hope to be in a position where I have the resources to make the differences I wish to see now. Reflecting on my time in school, I observe that while talent is equally distributed, some lack resources to foster that intellectual curiosity. I want to bridge this gap and promote access to education as an agent for social mobility." |
