Quantedge Foundation (Singapore) is a registered charity and Institution of a Public Character in Singapore that focuses on improving upward social mobility for children, youth and young adults from low-income or vulnerable backgrounds across different life stages.
We work across two fronts in our strategic approach: identifying the key levers shaping life outcomes for our beneficiaries at their different life stages, and strengthening the broader social service ecosystem to address gaps in access and opportunity.
Early Years (0-6)
During a child's formative years, daily environments and lived experiences shape development in lasting ways. For children growing up in under-resourced families, the pressures of financial strain and limited support can reduce access to stable caregiving, safe routines and enriching experiences -- creating early gaps in physical, cognitive, social and emotional development
We support programmes that provide direct care and strengthen parents’ ability to support their children’s holistic development—helping children start on a more equal footing and build a stronger base for life.

Growing Years (7-16)
During childhood, children from low-income or vulnerable backgrounds often face an early opportunities gap in access to safe environments, steady guidance, positive relationships and learning support beyond the classroom. If left unaddressed, these gaps can weaken self-belief and constrain the growth of interests, capabilities and resilience during a foundational stage of life.
We support programmes that foster trusted connections, provide nurturing spaces, and enable children to grow in confidence across both academic and non-academic domains through purposeful, sustained intervention.

Blossoming Years (17-30s)
As youths transition into adulthood and work, opportunity gaps often show up as limited mentorship, weaker networks, less workplace exposure and insufficient support to navigate pathways from education to employment. These barriers are often compounded by financial strain and limited social support among young families, undermining household stability and increasing the risk of intergenerational disadvantage.
We support programmes that expand mentorship, social connections and wraparound support, together with pathways through institutions such as universities and ITE that build industry-relevant skills, workplace readiness and progression, while also strengthening the financial resilience and support systems of young families.

The Sector
Advancing social mobility at scale requires more than funding individual programmes. Without shared evidence, common measures of success, strong organisational capability and mechanisms to incubate and scale effective ideas, promising solutions remain fragmented and difficult to sustain — slowing sector-wide progress.
We invest in ecosystem infrastructure that scaffolds innovation and long-term sustainability by supporting evidence-building research and common metrics, strengthening the capabilities of social innovators, and backing platforms that incubate new solutions and scale impact. We also share insights, shape dialogue and rally collective action—working with government, social sector agencies, researchers and fellow funders to inform policy and strengthen practice across the sector, as part of a broader movement to advance social mobility in Singapore over the long term.

Research is the foundation for meaningful and lasting progress in social mobility. By generating evidence and insights through research and evaluation, we deepen our understanding of what works and help shape more effective policies and programmes that expand opportunities for upward mobility.
We invest in research that strengthens the evidence base for social mobility in Singapore. This includes supporting rigorous programme evaluations to understand what works, investing in longitudinal datasets to uncover the drivers and trajectories of social mobility over time, and commissioning research to deepen our understanding of the factors that shape opportunity and outcomes. By working closely with implementation partners and academic institutions, we translate evidence into action and foster a stronger culture of learning across the social sector.
