Addressing social mobility requires a whole-of-society effort, with the social sector playing a pivotal role. We believe that philanthropy has a role to play in strengthening the capabilities of the social sector. By investing in promising, purpose-driven individuals who are committed to advancing the sector, we aim to strengthen its leadership and capacity from within.

Through the fellowship programme, we hope to provide a platform for these changemakers to develop their ideas, test new approaches and build meaningful connections - ultimately, catalysing a new wave of innovation and impact across the social sector.

The Civic Action Fellowship offers an exciting 1-year full-time and up to 2-year part-time sabbaticals for social service professionals and volunteers to develop innovative approaches for social impact. Jointly hosted by the Singapore Management University’s Lien Centre for Social Innovation and the Singapore University of Social Sciences’ School of Social Work and Social Development, the Fellowship provides access to academic resources, mentorship, and networks to strengthen leadership and impact.
