By strengthening the legal capabilities of volunteers and access to trusted legal guidance for non-profits, we help build a stronger social sector that can focus on creating impact.

Non-profit organisations in Singapore, including ground-up initiatives and charities, face challenges navigating legal and compliance issues.

We are partnering with Pro Bono SG on their Non-Profit Legal Services (NLS). NLS supports non-profit organisations through a range of programmes, including legal risk assessments, legal clinics, and governance support.
In support of the NLS initiative, and to augment the knowledge and capabilities of legal volunteers, Pro Bono SG will leverage emerging legal technology and generative artificial intelligence tools to develop an internal knowledge and resource base. The resulting set of sector-specific resources - templates, checklists, and FAQs - will then be used for volunteer capability building and made available for volunteers’ use after.
Intended Outcomes
The partnership with Pro Bono SG aims to achieve the following outcomes:
-
Individual outcomes: NLS legal volunteers have higher levels of knowledge and confidence
-
Sector outcomes: Non-profit organisations, including QFS Philanthropreneurs-in-Residence (PIRs), are better supported in legal advice and guidance
